Peter Lewenstein was born in London. He was a journalist before turning to fiction. For many years he edited and produced the BBC World Service radio programmes Network Africa and Focus on Africa, and travelled widely across Africa, reporting on wars, elections and everyday life; it’s what he saw, and the people he met, that have inspired his novels. When not writing, he does normal things like going for a walk or watching football. He is a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors.
